This pen is now rare, because sadly, Montblanc has discontinued their gold plated collection. The few new pens of this style that can occasionally be found list for $1185-$1400 without any accessories.
Montblanc Meisterstuck Solitaire Collection: Classique Vermeil Pinstripe Fountain Pen Model 144VP. Gold Plated 925 sterling silver with pinstripe finish. With piston converter; hand-crafted 18ct. yellow gold nib inlaid with platinum. This pen fills via cartridge OR converter, so you can have the elegance of a fountain pen filled from an ink pot or the ease of using a cartridge. This is a sleeker styled pen than the 145 or 146. The piston filler has a clear window indicating the ink level. The white Montblanc star cap slides securely in place. The included nib is M Medium. The clip contains the serial number and “Germany.”
This pen is very near mint. It has only been used once, to verify that it is in perfect working order. There are some very, very light superficial scratches on the metal from taking the pen out of the box and placing it back in. This piece could easily pass for a brand new pen.
